Keep your hair in place and show off your own style with quality, handmade leather! A simple design that adds detail to any look, one braid of leather arcs over your hair and gets pinned in place by a solid wood dowel.
Customize the the barrette to match you and your look! Choose from 8 leather colors and 3 different lengths (See color variations) to get the color and size just right for you hair.

Don't have enough hair but like the look? No problem! Use a hair tie to tie your hair back, and then pin the wood dowel through your hair just above the hair tie. The tie will be covered by the barrette while keeping it in place.
*Sizing:
Size is for the length of the leather braid.
4": For a ponytail or average amount of hair.
5": For an average amount of hair loosely pulled back or a portion of a lot of hair.
6": For a lot of hair or very thick hair. (Also good for dreadlocks or braided hair)

*Leather Care:
If your hair barrette gets soaked or heavily wet, allow it to dry in a cool spot away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Don't dry with a papertowel or hair-dryer, which will dry the leather too quickly and may cause it to become brittle and start cracking. To To rejuvenate the leather, and keep it soft and strong, I recommend re-oiling your hair barrette with a leather conditioner every 6 months or if it gets wet. Leather conditioners that I use and recommend are: Lexol, Fiebing's, and Neatsfoot Oil.

Yes! Everything in our shop is made with 100% genuine cow leather.
Can you engrave names and/or phone numbers on your quick-release buckles?
Unfortunately, we don't have the equipment to engrave on the metal currently. We're still happy to stamp a name on the leather using traditional brass stamps!
