*Leather Care:
To maintain soft leather for a long time, I recommend re-oiling the hair barrette with a leather conditioner every 6 months or so. Leather conditioners I use and recommend are Fiebings, Lexol, and Neatsfoot Oil. Simply rub the leather with a small amount of oil or conditioner and allow to cure for 24hrs. If the leather gets wet, allow it to dry in a cool spot away from direct sunlight or a heat source. This could dry out the leather too quickly and cause it to crack.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
- Custom or personalized orders
- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the leather you use genuine leather?
Yes! Everything in our shop is made with 100% genuine cow leather. Specifically 8/9oz Vegetable Tanned Cow Hide, for my fellow leather nerds out there.
Can you engrave names and/or phone numbers on your quick-release buckles?
Unfortunately, we don't have the equipment to engrave on the metal currently. We're still happy to stamp a name on the leather using traditional brass stamps!
Custom and personalized orders
We can fit a name and phone number on any of our 1.5" wide or 2" wide martingales! Please send us a message to confirm if the name and phone number you have will fit on any of the 1" wide collars. They can be a little trickier, because space is more limited.
Can I have a phone number added with a name to the nameplate?
Yes, you can! I can engrave two lines, three lines if you don't mind small print, on the nameplates.
Will My Order Ship Immediately?
All of my items are hand-made in a traditional leather-worker fashion (one-on-one with a hole-punch), in my small shop nestled in the woods in upstate NY! Because of the attention I give to detail and the made-to-order nature of my work, my current creation time to shipping is 3-5 business days.
If you need it faster, I do offer quicker shipping available during check-out or you're welcome to send me a message!
If you live near Ithaca or Spencer, New York, I do also offer pick-up by appointment with a bonus shop tour!
Do You Offer Faster Shipping?
Yes, I do! You can select faster shipping options for an additional cost during check-out. The extra cost goes to USPS for their Priority and Express shipping options. (Note: these options only speed up the shipping times after I've finished and sent your order out.)
